Test Driven Development with KnockoutJS, VisualStudio, and Karma: Live Demo

I’m giving a presentation on KnockoutJS, Karma-Runner, and TDD at DevTeach in Toronto on Wednesday. I’ll be doing a live code demo, which is always exciting (at least for the presenter). Here’s a screen grab of me practicing the live code demo.

Topics covered:

  • Creating project in VisualStudio, adding knockout and jasmine via nuget
  • Setting up Karma to auto-test on file save
  • Test driven approach to building the beginnings of a small Knockout app

Here’s the video.

Looking forward to presenting tomorrow!

Note

This article is part of a multi-part series on Test Driven JavaScript development. The code for this particular project can be found on GitHub. You can view all the articles by viewing the tdd-knockout tag.

  1. It’s worth noting that I’m not happy with the quality of the YouTube link, working on finding out if Vimeo is any better. If anyone has suggestions I’m all ears. 🙂
